Air Liquide announces hydrogen filling station at Vancouver International Airport
Air Liquide has announced that the second of two hydrogen fuelling station as part of the Canadian Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Project will be Vancouver International Airport. The project is a £7.92 million (CAD $14 million) undertaking and includes the participation of Natural Resources Canada, the governments of British Columbia and Quebec, and 14 participating companies. The first fuelling station at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport was announced earlier this year.
The hydrogen fuelling station will add to BC's existing hydrogen highway and would provide a local source of hydrogen for Whistler's fleet of 20 hydrogen fuel cell electric buses which are expected to be completely commissioned in time for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
