Webinar to highlight growth in fuel cell niche transport markets
2 September 2009 – Webinar to highlight growth in fuel cell niche transport markets
Fuel Cell Today, the leading organisation for market based intelligence on the fuel cell industry, will provide its latest analysis of fuel cells in global niche transport markets during a webinar on September 15, 2009. Niche transport includes a range of applications such as forklifts, auxiliary power units (APUs) for RVs, bikes and trains. These are important potential growth markets for fuel cells and are often not as well understood as conventional transport applications like cars and buses. The webinar will help anyone interested in understanding the state of these niche markets and the outlook for growth.
Fuel Cell Today has partnered with the National Hydrogen Association, the world’s leading trade association for hydrogen energy technologies, to present the webinar, which will be held at 4:00 p.m. GMT (11:00 a.m. US East Coast time). Forklift Action, a leading resource for forklift businesses and forklift news, is a media partner.
During the webinar, Fuel Cell Today analysts Dr. Kerry-Ann Adamson and Lisa Callaghan Jerram will present highlights from the new 2009 Niche Transport Survey, just released in August. The survey predicts significant market growth in several breakout markets, including materials handling vehicles, APUs and a sleeper market, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). These breakout markets are experiencing solid market pull from government, military and direct consumer demand. In contrast, other applications such as e-bikes, which only a couple of years ago were seen as the next big thing, and trains, have slowed down considerably.
Participants will have a chance to learn about growth trends in all niche markets through 2009, with shipment breakouts by application and by region. There will be a special focus on the three breakout markets: materials handling, APUs, and UAVs. The analysts will also give highlights from the survey’s premium content, including Fuel Cell Today’s10-year market forecasts. After a 30-minute presentation, participants can engage in a Q&A session with the Fuel Cell Today analysts.
