New York university students navigate fuel cell boat up the Hudson River
A group of New York university students from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have successfully fitted two fuel cells to a 22 foot boat named the New Clermont.
The boat is powered only by fuel cells - 2.2 kW GenDrive units on loan from Plug Power - and launches September 21st Manhattan. The ship is expected to arrive at Troy, NY on September 25th after making several stops along the river to discuss the project.
