H2Gen Innovations Commissions MARS(r) PSA Plant in Saudi Arabia

H2Gen Innovations, Inc. announced today that it has successfully completed commissioning of a 1.5 million scf/day (1500 Nm3/hr) hydrogen gas purification plant for Saudi Polyolefins Company (SPC) at its Tasnee Polyolefins Complex in Al Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.

H2Gen provided a turnkey MARS(r) PSA system including design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, to process a low value waste gas stream into commercial purity hydrogen gas for Tasnee's high density polyethylene and polypropylene expansion projects at the site.

The H2Gen MARS(r) system compresses a process gas stream from a low temperature recovery unit, purifies the product gas to 99.999% H2 using H2Gen's MARS(r) PSA technology and further compress both the product gas and tail gas. The tail gas is used to fire a waste heat boiler. The project sits on three skids: one contains the PSA modules, and two others contain redundant reciprocating and screw compressors, all packaged by H2Gen.  H2Gen also provided a comprehensive controls system that allows for automatic operations and remote monitoring.  In addition, the company provided complete civil, electrical and mechanical installation of the system.  The project was completed in 12 months from the date of contract award.
