GM Lays off 8 Fuel Cell Staff
Officials at the GM Fuel Cell plant in Honeoye Falls, NY said that they let eight full-time employees go on Monday as part of the company-wide salaried workforce reduction at GM. GM is understood to employ over 500 people on its fuel cell programme around the world.
The company said eligible employees received separation benefits equal to one half of their monthly base salary for each full year of service, up to a maximum of six months of benefits.
