MTU Onsite Energy Fuel Cell Systems Appoints New Managing Director

Karl P. Kiessling (55) is to join MTU Onsite Energy GmbH Fuel Cell Systems as joint managing director from 1st July 2009.

Ulrich Ruwier is leaving the company to pursue new professional challenges and Michael Bode remains on the board as joint managing director responsible for fuel cell technology.

Karl P. Kiessling joins the company from SenerTec Kraft-Wärme-Energiesysteme GmbH in Schweinfurt. In the course of the last ten years, as sole managing director, he has developed the company into one of the major manufacturers of micro CHP plants (MCHP).

Kiessling earned a degree in physics at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. He spent the first ten years of his professional life with KSB AG in Frankenthal, where he began his career in the environmental technology field as a project manager for solar pump systems. Subsequent steps in his career included positions in export and marketing, and responsibility for a large KSB branch office. Following a number of positions as sales director in subsidiary companies
of Babcock AG and Friedrich-GROHE GmbH, Kiessling moved to SenerTec GmbH.
