Ballard to dissolve EBARA Ballard Corporation

Ballard Power Systems has announced its intention to dissolve a joint venture with EBARA Corporation and discontinue operations of EBARA Ballard Corporation – a firm focused on development, manufacture, sale, and servicing stationary power systems for residential cogeneration in Japan.

According to Ballard Power Systems’ press release, the firm will continue to sell the FCgen(TM)-1030v3 for applications including residential cogeneration. Ballard plan to supply the fuel cell product to Baxi Innotech GmbH for use in the German Callux Project.

The EBARA Corporation will continue to service the EBARA Ballard Corporation fuel cell systems that have already been sold and installed.
