Toshiba to release fuel cell mobile handset in 2009
According to a leaked product roadmap posted on Greek website Techblog, Toshiba is to release a fuel cell powered mobile phone handset towards the end of Q4 2009. The 7-inch L01 handset, which is powered by a DMFC and comes with a QWERTY keyboard, is similar to the one unveiled to the press at this year's Consumer Electronics Show and seen by Fuel Cell Today.
The leak comes as Fuel Cell Today publishes its 2009 Portable Survey, which anticipates the commerical release of a DMFC powered consumer electronics device within the next year.
