Kia reportedly to bring FCV to market in 2012
Kia has announced plans to bring its first hydrogen fuel cell car to market in 2012, according to Kia World. No word on whether it will be a production version of the Borrego fuel cell concept car displayed at the 2008 Los Angeles auto show. Together with parent company Hyundai Motor, Kia plans to spend nearly US$6 billion on research and development this year, with majority of money pumped into development of new hybrid and fuel cell electric cars such as Kia Forte LPI hybrid and Borrego FCEV.
