UTC Power Acquires Architectural Energy Corp.

UTC Power announced it has acquired Architectural Energy Corp. (AEC), a privately held energy engineering firm that offers services and products to optimise the energy and environmental performance of buildings.  The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, AEC employs approximately 110 people and has satellite offices in San Francisco, Nashville and Chicago. Customers include building owners, architects, construction companies, corporations, municipalities and state entities, plus governmental and non-governmental organisations.

Last year, UTC Power acquired Dome-Tech Inc., an energy consulting firm based in Edison, New Jersey.  Charles Braunstein, Dome-Tech founder, will oversee a newly formed UTC Power Energy & Sustainable Services organisation made up of Dome-Tech and AEC.
