Idaho National Lab Meets Hydrogen Target
In September, a team of scientists from the U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory (INL) announced that it had reached a milestone in hydrogen production through High-Temperature Electrolysis (HTE). The Integrated Laboratory Scale experiment started producing hydrogen at a rate of 5.6 cubic metres per hour. September's milestone is a major scale-up from earlier INL experiments on a small scale.
The HTE plant is located in the Bonneville County Technology Center in Idaho Falls, across the street from the INL Research Center.
