Mercedes confirms fuel cell B-Class by 2010
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will be producing its new B-class based fuel-cell vehicle by 2010, according to the Daily Telegraph.
In addition, Mercedes is working to fit this advanced fuel cell into more conventional vehicles such as the C- and E-class ranges, which unlike the A and B Class do not have a sandwich-floor construction. "Within 15 to 20 seconds the fuel-cell stack is almost at full power and within less than 30 seconds the vehicle will be ready to go on the autobahn," according to Mercedes director of group research and advanced engineering Dr Christian Mohrdieck
