Hyundai to supply fuel cell buses to Seoul Metropolitan Government

It has been reported in the Automotive Business Review that Hyundai Motor has signed an agreement with Seoul Metropolitan Government to supply 7,748 environmentally friendly buses by 2018.
Under the agreement Hyundai will begin supplying the city with “mild-hybrid” buses in 2008, then supply full-hybrid system buses from 2011 and fuel-cell electric buses starting from 2013.
Hyundai has already delivered two mild-hybrid system buses to an operator through the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and will handover 12 more by the end of June 2008.
