Sharp have released information of its new generation fo high density DMFC. The prototype direct DMFC is constructed of a stack of multiple reed-shaped thin cells, sandwiched together with similarly shaped porous spacers. This is claimed to increase surface area and maximises air-flow resulting in a power density of 0.3W/cc.
No release date has been suggested for a commercial product.
