Quantum to supply hydrogen refuelling station to Shell

Alternative energy company Quantum Technologies will supply a modular hydrogen refuelling station to Shell Hydrogen.

Quantum announced that it had won the Shell contract in a statement released yesterday.

The company says it will supply shell with one of its portable modular hydrogen refuelling stations, along with a hydrogen storage cascade.

Commenting on the deal, Quantum's president and chief executive Alan Niedzwiecki said: "Quantum's hydrogen refuelling stations, integral elements of our alternative energy product portfolio, are cost-effective, just-in-time modular solutions to deliver hydrogen to hydrogen-powered vehicles as their demand continues to grow around the world."

Mr Niedzwiecki said that the company was pleased to support the efforts of Shell to establish a hydrogen fuel network, adding that the company's hydrogen refuelling stations were designed to support the advance of fuel cell technology initiatives.

Quantum Technologies has also announced plans to partner the Boeing Company in a $5.6 million hydrogen storage project funded by the US Department of Energy.
