Plug Power launches new residential and motive fuel cell units
Fuel cell development company Plug Power launched new residential and motive power fuel cell systems in Hannover this week.
The company showcased the prototype of its latest proton exchange membrane (PEM) system, known as GenSys, which is capable of heating a home.
Vice president and general manager of Plug Power's continuous power division Mark Sperry said: "By producing high-quality heat and hot water, this high-temperature system meets the requirements of residential and light commercial markets."
Mr Sperry added that the design of the GenSys was flexible enough to work with numerous utility providers and adapt the system to their specific requirements.
The company claims it is a leader in the development of PEM fuel cell technology for use in stationary applications.
