Neah Power publishes white paper on 2 Direct Methanol fuel cell designs and their commercialisation properties

Neah Power Systems, a developer of fuel cells for military application and portable electronic devices, announced today that it has published a White Paper titled “Neah Power Extending Life to Portable Electronic Devices - Silicon-Based Direct Methanol Fuel Cells Bridge the Power Gap.” The paper addresses such issues as energy demands for portable electronics, fuel cell fundamentals and requirements, operating issues and performance, and provides details about the Neah Power fuel cell architecture.

“This white paper gives customers, investors and the broader market, a detailed overview of the two leading approaches to direct methanol fuel cell design. In doing so, the white paper offers a comparison between our silicon based design and other PEM-based systems currently available,” said Dr. Chris D’Couto, President and CEO of Neah Power. “When I meet with the business, scientific and financial communities and other audiences, there is tremendous interest in our unique technology, and we are publishing this white paper to better communicate with this broader base.” He further added, “Our silicon–electrode based fuel cell enables higher power densities, air and non-air operation, low cost manufacturing using silicon foundries outsourced assembly and test. The white paper provides details in all these areas.”

The white paper is available at the Company’s website http://www.neahpower.com or can be requested from lindsay@investorawareness.com.
