H2Gen Innovations elects former Mittal Steel executive to Board of Directors
H2Gen Innovations, Inc. announced today that Dr. Peter Southwick has been elected to serve on its Board of Directors. Dr. Southwick served as a senior executive with Mittal Steel (now ArcelorMittal), where he was President and CEO of Ispat Inland Inc. (previously, Inland Steel Company) from 2000 to 2003, and then Corporate Director, Quality and Development, for Mittal Steel, from 2003 to 2005.
Barney Rush, CEO. Commented that Peter brings an in-depth understanding of the steel and metals industry to the company, which is one of its key markets.
Prior to his becoming CEO of Ispat Inland, Dr. Southwick was Executive Vice President for Operations, and he previously held a number of other management positions at the company, including Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Quality and Strategic Planning. He joined Inland Steel in 1980. Dr. Southwick also served as a director on the board of the American Iron and Steel Institute from 2000 to 2003, and as Vice Chairman of the Institute in 2003. A national of the United Kingdom, Dr. Southwick received both a BA and PhD in Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge.
