New group chief financial officer for Intelligent Energy
Rian Urding has been unveiled as the new group chief financial officer for Intelligent Energy, Fuelcellworks reports.
The move is part of an attempt by the fuel cell power systems company to move towards the commercialisation of its fuel cell technology, and follows the appointment of Thomas Bennett as the group's general counsel and commercial director.
Intelligent Energy recently unveiled the Crosscage, a prototype hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle developed in conjunction with Suzuki, the Japanese multinational corporation that specialises in manufacturing compact automobiles.
Mr Urding is a chartered accountant, and spent three years prior to joining Intelligent Energy specialising in marketing and database software technology at ClarityBlue Limited, which is now a subsidiary of Experian.
He has also spent time working for AIM-listed firm Vega as a financial controller for the space division, and was involved in this capacity in the provision of software simulation support to the European Space Agency.
Mr Urding studied accountancy at the University of East Anglia following a commission on the Royal Air Force.
