Air Products technology used at Selfridge hydrogen fuelling station

Technology developed by Air Products is being successfully used at a hydrogen fuelling station located at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan, it has been announced.

The station was designed and built by Chevron Hydrogen Company and now provides fuel for a fleet of fuel cell vehicles and other hydrogen-powered equipment housed at the base.

Chevron has made use of Air Products' Series 300 hydrogen compression, storage and dispensing technology at the station, which has particularly pleased Dan Rabun, business development manager for Hydrogen Energy Systems at Air Products.

It is the second time that Chevron has designed a fuelling station and made use of equipment provided by Air Products.

"We are pleased to have provided equipment to this project and congratulate Chevron with successfully constructing and commissioning the Selfridge fuelling station," Mr Rabun said.

"We are pleased this collaborative relationship continues to work toward advances in hydrogen fuelling in system equipment, engineering, and all aspects of safety, operability, and reliability."
