Linde and BOC demonstrate hydrogen expertise at Canada fuel cell conference

Linde Gas and BOC Gases, the North American affiliates of The Linde Group, will be demonstrating their hydrogen energy expertise at Hydrogen & Fuel Cells 2007, (HFC), Canada's premier hydrogen and fuel cell event which begins Sunday, April 29 in Vancouver.

The Linde Group, one of the world's leading engineering and industrial gases companies, acquired The BOC Group in 2006 to form one of the world's leading engineering and industrial gases companies.

BOC will supply the compressed gaseous hydrogen for the conference's fuel cell vehicles from the nearby Pacific Spirit Hydrogen Fueling Station. The 350-Bar station is one of the first stations along British Columbia's Hydrogen HighwayT and which BOC designed and built in conjunction with the National Research Council Canada Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation and Natural Resources Canada. Linde has equipped over 60 hydrogen filling stations worldwide.

Linde is a sponsor of the HFC and also is sponsoring the BC Hydrogen Highway Road Rally 2007, which will feature a roundtrip drive from Vancouver to Whistler, BC, in hydrogen-fuelled cars ride-and-drives for delegates at the conference. The road rally, organized by Powertech Labs and also sponsored by the Hydrogen Highway and Dynetek Industries, will feature cars from automakers Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, GM, Nissan and Toyota.
