QuestAir Technologies, Inc. develops and commercialises proprietary Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology that separates and enriches oxygen and hydrogen gases in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Its technology makes fuel cells more efficient and more powerful.

QuestAir is currently selling its HyQuestor hydrogen purification PSA systems to customers in the industrial gas, oil refining and chemical industries, as well as to operators of hydrogen refueling demonstration projects.

Major products under development include QuestAir's HyBooster unit, which purifies the hydrogen fuel that is fed to the cell, and OxyBooster technology which separates the oxygen that is available in the air and concentrates it. QuestAir claims that by increasing the oxygen concentration, it is possible to increase the net power each cell generates by up to 25-35 per cent.

QuestAir's commercial product line, HyQuestor, purifies hydrogen for the hydrogen refueling and fuel cell research markets in the 10-1,000 Nm3/hr flow range. In February 2005, it sold one unit to be operated in a ChevronTexaco refuelling facility in California.
