Organisation Description

Hydrogenics Corporation designs and develops proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems for transportation, stationary and portable power applications. The Company leads in fuel cell balance-of-plant and operating system technology and applies this to the development and manufacture of fuel cell power modules and fully integrated power generators. Hydrogenics' headquarters and R&D facility is located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The Company also has operations in Burnaby (Greenlight Power Technologies, Inc. British Columbia, Canada), Japan, the United States, and Germany. Hydrogenics is a member of the General Motors fuel cell alliance.

In early 2005, Hydrogenics acquired Stuart Energy.

In October 2003, the company announced plans to develop a fuel cell powered fork lift truck, together with Deere & Company, FedEx Canada, General Motors of Canada, HERA Hydrogen Storage Systems, NACCO Materials Handling Group and City of Toronto.

Hydrogenics is a member of the General Motors fuel cell alliance. <br/>2003: Gore Fuel Cell Technologies is supplying MEAs for all Hydrogenics fuel cell products. The two companies have worked in close collaboration for over five years. <br/>IdaTech is working together with Hydrogenics in a DOE funded project developing 50kW stationary PEM fuel cells.
