HydroGen is a developer of multi-megawatt fuel cell systems utilising its proprietary 400 kilowatt (kW) air-cooled phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) technology. HydroGen's PAFC technology was originally developed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation, in collaboration with the United States Department of Energy. HydroGen is positioning itself to compete in the growing distributed generation market, with the intention of offering complete fuel cell systems in the 6-30 megawatt (MW) range at prices that HydroGen's management believes will be competitive with incumbent generating technologies in this size class, and significantly lower than other fuel cell technologies.

As of July 8, 2005, HydroGen, LLC completed an Exchange Transaction with Chiste Corp (OTC BB: CSTC) and raised US$13.5 million of gross proceeds through the sale of equity securities. HydroGen is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chiste, and the historical business operations of HydroGen will comprise Chiste's principal business operations going forward.
