Organisation Description

BP, one of the world's largest petroleum and petrochemicals groups, and German subsidiary Aral are working on fuels and infrastructure issues for fuel cell vehicles with a number of organisations, including DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors. BP has been involved in numerous filling stations (Asia, Europe, USA), and the company has made some effort to brand these hydrogen facilities similar to its conventional petrol stations. Aral is a main player in the Berlin Clean Energy Project and the hydrogen station at Munich airport.
Together with Progress Energy, BP plans to develop and build a hydrogen-refuelling station that's expected to be a prototype for future stations as part of the “Controlled Hydrogen Fleet & Infrastructure Demonstration and Validation Project” in the USA.
