- Organisation Description
Aalborg Universitys Institute of Energy Technology has been researching fuel cells for the past four years, mostly funded by industrial organisations APC Denmark, Danfoss and IRD Fuel Cells. It aims to become the leading Danish PEMFC research institution. Its programme involves a range of disciplines including mechanical and electrical engineering. Current research areas include PEMFC modelling and the design of DMFC and residential CHP fuel cell systems. It expects to receive government funding soon for the development of a natural gas reformer and integrated PEMFC and DMFC cells.
The research group principally conducts research in the areas of fuel cell system design, control and optimisation as well as cell and stack design.
