3M produces products for dozens of different markets (including health care, industrial, safety and insulation) but is perhaps best known as the maker of Scotchguard fabric protectors, Post-it Notes and Scotch tapes. It operates in more than 60 countries. 3M has been working on producing materials for PEM fuel cells since 1995 and, at present, manufacturing MEAs. 3M is supplying MEAs for all applications, and using advanced 5 and 7 layer MEA technology developed in their laboratories.
