Mercedes F125 Fuel Cell Concept Car Emerges Before Frankfurt Motor Show

Details of a new Mercedes-Benz fuel cell concept car have appeared online before the car's official debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The car, dubbed the F125, features a highly futuristic gullwing low-profile sedan chassis constructed from a mix of carbon fibre, aluminium and plastic. The car should offer a top speed of 137 miles per hour, 0-62 in 4.9 seconds, a fuel efficiency of 100 km per 0.79 kg of hydrogen and a range of 621 miles. The hydrogen tank will be a carbon fibre design and hold hydrogen at 700 bar. The stack will be hybridised with a 10 kWh lithium-ion battery that will allow for approximately thirty miles driving before the fuel cell is required.

Further details on the vehicle can be expected at the vehicle's official launch during the show.
