UK Government Launches Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Strategy: ‘Driving the Future Today’

09 Sep 2013

ULEV Strategy

The strategy sets out the UK Government’s intention to position the country at the global forefront of Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) development, manufacture and use – contributing to economic growth, meeting carbon targets and delivering cleaner towns and cities.

The strategy also makes clear Government’s intention to work hand-in-hand with industry to determine the best use of the new £500 million funding, available from 2015 to 2020, to bring its vision to life. In its next step, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles will invite all sectors of industry and key stakeholders to engage with it via a call for evidence on how best to invest the funding.
