Swindon Publishes Roadmap to be UK’s Leading Hydrogen-Powered Town

Swindon roadmap

The newly formed Swindon Hydrogen Group has published its Hydrogen Roadmap which aims to position the town as the UK leader for hydrogen technology. Swindon already has skills in engineering and hydrogen technologies, including Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells, Honda and BOC Gases, and the Hydrogen Roadmap sets out to define how the sector will be nurtured and developed. There are four strands of development: renewable energy production; storage & grid re-balancing; transport; residential and industrial heat and power.

Swindon Hydrogen Group members include: Forward Swindon, Swindon Borough Council , Business West, Swindon Commercial Services,  Honda, ITM Power, Johnson Matthey, Wales & West Utilities, Advanced Plasma Power, Swindon University Technical College, Science Museum, Swindon Wiltshire LEP, and the University of Bath.
