Honda Sketch

Honda has released a sketch of its FCEV concept alongside the news that it will reveal the car at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, which begins on Friday 22nd November. The next-generation fuel cell vehicle will launch in the USA and Japan in 2015, with a European launch to follow later at an unspecified time.

"The Honda FCEV Concept demonstrates the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles," said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co. "As we work toward the introduction of our next-generation fuel-cell vehicle in 2015, our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way towards a zero-emissions future."

Honda is famous for its 2008 FCX Clarity, which was the world’s first production fuel cell vehicle. The vehicle stood out for being designed from the ground up as an FCEV, rather than a retrofit of an existing model, and was available for limited lease in California and Japan. Honda last demonstrated a fuel cell concept at the 2008 LA Auto Show, with the boldly designed FC Sport.
