Verizon to use Bloom Fuel Cells in California

Following on from its recent announcement of a $100 million investment in solar and fuel cell projects to help power nineteen of its facilities in seven states across the country, Verizon has announced plans to install Bloom Energy fuel cells in California. Ten of Verizon’s west coast data centre switching sites will be powered by 200 kW Bloom Energy Servers, providing around a quarter of the company’s planned clean energy capacity.
