Air Products PRISM

Air Products has introduced a new high-output offering to its PRISM line of on-site hydrogen generation systems. The new system can produce up to 4,500 standard cubic metres of hydrogen per hour and 4.1 million standard cubic feet per day. The system runs on natural gas and combines Air Products’ proprietary reformer technology with its hydrogen pressure swing adsorption capabilities to offer a comparatively low cost solution for this production range. The system is containerised, allowing for swift installation, and the company has installed more than 20 PRISM systems to date. More information on the product can be found on its product site.

"We took a good, hard look at the market, and identified a need for hydrogen in this production range," said Dave Guro, global product manager for Hydrogen Generation and Purification at Air Products. "We are working with several global applications for larger PRISM hydrogen plants, and by leveraging Air Products' global sales, supply chain, product manufacturing, and operations network, we will be able to meet the needs of customers in all geographies around the world."
