Indonesian Wireless Operator XL Chooses Fuel Cell Backup Power Solution from Cascadiant

Cell TowerCascadiant Pte Ltd. has been awarded a contract to deploy methanol-fuelled fuel cell systems on the island of Kalimantan by Indonesian operator XL.  The fuel cells will ensure back-up power to some of XL’s most critical sites.

Cascadiant has now worked with more than 10 operators around the world to deploy its Managed Energy Solution (MES™).

As part of the Agreement, Cascadiant’s will integrate its IntelSite™ monitoring platform to fully manage all aspect of the fuel cell network on a 24/7 basis via its Network Operations Center located in Jakarta, Indonesia.  

“Every day we talk to operators that are looking for ways to eliminate their diesel generators not only to reduce CO2 but to stop being held hostage to the ever fluctuating price of oil”, said Marshall Towe, Cascadiant Founder and CEO.
