Santa Clara County VTA Receiving $750,000 to Install Bloom Fuel Cells

California’s Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is receiving $750,000 in federal funding to install a 400 kW Bloom Energy fuel cell facility. The facility, estimated to cost a total of approximately $4 million, will be installed at the VTA’s San Jose maintenance yard. There it will power the site and deliver AC and DC power to charge electric vehicles and buses more quickly.
