Proton OnSite Hannover

Established electrolyser manufacturer Proton OnSite has announced that it is developing a 1 MW proton exchange membrane electrolyser targeted at renewable energy storage systems, predominantly in Europe, where the concept of gas injection as an energy storage device is rapidly gaining popularity. The company claims the PEM system will be the world’s largest and that its PEM technology is more efficient than alkaline equivalents. It is currently working with international wind, solar and biogas energy companies to commercialise the system by 2014.
