Acta to Supply Cracking Catalysts for Alkammonia Project

19 Dec 2012

Acta has received a grant of up to €398,000 to supply ammonia cracking reactors and catalysts to the EU Alkammonia project, which is being led by AFC Energy; AFC is acquiring assets from the now-defunct Diverse Energy, which specialised in ammonia-fed fuel cells, as part of the project. Acta's ammonia catalyst contains no precious metals and the company claims it performs better than commercial platinum group metals catalysts in converting the ammonia to hydrogen. The Alkammonia project has a total budget of €1.96 million and will commence in March.
