SFC Energy Manager with JENNY

SFC Energy has received a third serial order from the German Bundeswehr, which will be equipping more soldiers with the portable JENNY fuel cell. The order is for energy systems consisting of the JENNY direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC), the SFC Power Manager, a hybrid battery, a solar panel for alternative energy supply, and accessories.

The energy system powers various devices in either stationary or mobile army operations, for example radios, navigation equipment, night vision devices, laser rangefinders and portable computers. The volume of the order amounts to nearly €5 million (net). Delivery is expected to be complete by end of 2012.

This follows serial orders from the Bundeswehr in 2010 and 2007.
