Description

11th UECT Ulm ElectroChemical Talks 2008 Batteries, Supercaps and Fuel Cells Topics 2008: Performance - Safety - Quality

The topics of the 11th UECT will be performance, safety and quality related to batteries, supercaps and fuel cells.

High performance Li-Ion batteries and PEM - fuel cells are key technologies for future drive trains as well as for stationary energy storage and power supply applications. New materials and advanced designs have been successfully demonstrated in many prototypes. Fleet testing under all day conditions could demonstrate high level of maturity.

With the upcoming commercialization the emphasis has to be laid on safety and quality features combined with further improvements in performance. These topics shall provide the guideline for the 11th UECT.

The conference is organized by the “Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung” (ZSW), the “Weiterbildungszentrum Brennstoff-zelle Ulm” (WBZU), Daimler AG and the University of Ulm.

The 10th UECT, held in 2006 at the same place, attracted more than 200 scientists from 18 countries.

For brilliant achievements on the area of battery and fuel cell research we will award an UECT-Award.

Furthermore we will award the 3 best posters.
