Currently, the European market for stationary fuel cell systems is at an embryonic stage. Allied with the trend towards dsitributed generation technologies, the nascent commercial market for stationary fuel cells is anticipated to expand rapidly with promising applications such as micro combined heat and power (micro CHP), back-up systems and baseload generators in the MW class.
